Your First
Visit
Consultation
On your first visit to our office, our receptionist
will greet you with a warm smile. You will then be
asked to fill out our required forms which will help
us gain some information about yourself and your condition.
Dr. Michael Tobet will then talk with you and ask
you some specific questions regarding your condition
to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit
to you. If Dr. Tobet can help you, the doctor will
let you know. Nothing will be done in our office without
your consent and your information will be kept confidential.
Examination
After a thorough consultation with the
doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination.
This will include testing your reflexes, your ability
to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopedic,
neurologic, postural, and physical examinations. The
doctor will gain valuable information regarding your
condition so that a better understanding of how chiropractic
can help you.
X-ray
X-ray is sometimes required to get a
full evaluation of a patient. If you have had recent
x-rays, CT scans or MRI's done, please bring in a
copy of those reports/films to assist the doctor in
your treatment. Based on the patients HISTORY, SYMPTOMS
and the EVALUATION RESULTS, the need for an X-RAY
STUDY will be determined. If necessary, an X-RAY study
will be recommended and a referral to an X-RAY Facility
will be provided.
Treatment
Most of our patients begin to see results
within the first 2 weeks of treatment. Our special
gentle yet effective alignment, “adjustments”
of the spine, is gentle enough for kids (they love
us) and very effectively restores function and movement
for most people, from athletes to seniors. Treatments
are specific for each individual patient. We treat
pregnant women and have modern specialized chiropractic
tables that effectively decompress the spine and relieve
disc herniations. Dr. Tobet will often use special
techniques to treat shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee,
and foot/ankle problems. We also have a massage therapist
on staff, which will not only aid in a patient’s
recovery but will provide stress reduction as well.

about treatment.
Our office participates in many insurance
programs. We accept auto accident and workman’s
compensation cases, and will often accept attorney
liens. To find out if your insurance covers chiropractic
care, you can call Dr. Tobet’s office directly
to schedule your consultation at 203-579-0304. Fill
out the required forms that we are providing online
and e-mail, fax or bring it with you. This will save
you time and the office will have an opportunity to
verify your coverage. Most Insurance plans have a
co-payment or deductible, which the patient is responsible
for. Insurance companies and benefits vary from plan
to plan.
For patients who have little or no chiropractic
insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can
be arranged, please inquire prior to seeing the Doctor.
